Upper Vinschgau

The Upper Vinschgau

The Upper Vinschgau is located in the border region of Italy, Austria and Switzerland at the source of the Etsch river. Due to its favourable climatic situation, it was known for a long time as the granary of Tyrol and is characterised by its scenic features. These include the Reschensee lake as well as the largest debris cone in the Alps around Mals as well as the crooked trees along the roads, marked by the wind. The Upper Vinschgau citizens' cooperative is active in this border region and strives for sustainable development for the benefit of the people who live and are vacationing there.
