"The more we make examples of solidarity-based, sustainable economic activity a reality in the region, the more sustainable our region becomes and the more we show that the necessary change is possible."

Micro.Land.Grabbing: Challenges for local communities worldwide
Friday 22.01.-Sa.23.01.2021 from 13:00-17:00 – ZOOM.
So far, the phenomenon of land grabbing (land theft) has been discussed mainly in terms of the exploitation of the Global South by international financial flows, although its relevance is also increasing in the European context. Moreover, it is often small, regional actors that insidiously drive the commodification of land. We therefore speak of the phenomenon of “micro land grabbing”. Lecture and workshop thematically addressed these new developments.
- to deepen the knowledge about micro land grabbing
- to exchange and develop resistance strategies against Micro.Land.Grabbing
- Build support networks among affected communities worldwide
Interested parties are welcome to attend the lecture (Friday 22.01.2021, 13:00-14:30Uhr).
The optional workshop is open to project participants* and community members directly affected by micro land grabbing.
